Anycubic® Photon Mono SE
Metal resin tank / Air filter system / 3.5-inch touchscreen / Easy levelling / Qualitative power supply / Wifi module / Dual linear rail / High stability / Details down to 51 microns
Shenzhen-based 3D printer manufacturer Anycubic has launched four new 3D printers to mark its five year anniversary. The new LCD systems are all a part of the company’s flagship range of machines, the Photon series, and are primarily aimed at hobbyists and design professionals seeking affordable resin printing.
Accompanying the mass product launch is a website-wide sales promotion, with early bird discounts for the new machines and price cuts on the company’s existing offering. Anycubic has stated that the event is a way of “giving back” to its customers for half a decade of ongoing support.
The Anycubic Photon Mono SE has a 6-inch monochrome LCD display. With its new technology, the Photon Mono prints at unbelievable printing speeds, so that it only takes 1-2 seconds per layer – compared to conventional LCD 3D printers with 7-8 seconds per layer. The monochrome LCD is also thermally stable and has a much longer service life than conventional LCD displays. You can print with it for over 2000 hours! In addition, thanks to the larger LCD display, the Photon Mono SE also has a slightly larger installation space of 130 x 78 x 160 mm.
The new matrix light source has been redesigned and consists of several UV LED lights that have a more even exposure. This not only improves accuracy but also enables faster exposure times and better heat dissipation. The Photon Mono SE has a WiFi module, so you have much more convenient connectivity than conventional 3D printers. You can also connect your Photon Mono SE using the Anycubic app, where you can monitor your printing process or adjust the print settings.
The Anycubic Photon Mono SE has a metal housing and stable dual linear rails to significantly improve the print stability and success rate. A built-in cooling system for the UV exposure unit to increase printing performance and service life. The self-developed slicer software from Anycubic is far superior in speed and operation compared to various other slicer freeware.
Wrapped in a health-conscious package, the Mono SE features an additional carbon air filter with two ventilation fans in its frame. The machine is specifically designed to reduce resin odors during the printing process, making for a more comfortable experience. A beefed-up UV engine also means that the minimum layer cure time on the SE is just one second, resulting in print speeds of up to 80mm/hour.
Completing the trio, the Mono X is Anycubic’s spin on large-format resin 3D printing. The machine features an 8.9” 4K monochrome LCD screen and a build volume of 192 x 120 x 245mm. With a maximum print speed of 60mm/hour, the Mono X covers all bases with an all-rounder performance.
