Blackview BV6600

According to the well-known Chinese brand Blackview, is close to the arrival on the market, in just under two weeks, the new rugged phone Blackview BV6600, equipped with an impressive battery that can also be used as a powerbank.

Blackview, Chinese brand known in the West mainly for its rugged smartphones, also contemplating the need for this kind of device to be also very autonomous, has recently anticipated the arrival on the market, from February 22 (at $199.99 on Aliexpress), of the new rugged Blackview BV6600, powered by Android 10.

The armored Blackview BV6600 has a chassis (159.4 x 77.7 x 13.7 mm, 275 grams, in black, orange, and green), which does not deny its indestructible nature, thanks to IP68 certifications (up to 1. 2 meters deep in water for half an hour); IP69K (high-pressure and high-temperature water splashes), and MIL-STD-810G (drops from 1.2 meters on hard surfaces, acidic or humid environments, under bright sunlight, severe temperature changes). The armored corners hold up well to shocks, as do the metal side frames, and the Gorilla Glass 3 front panel.

Less stubby than many rugged rivals, the Blackview BV6600 has a 5.7-inch LCD display, resolved in HD + (720 x 1440 pixels) according to a panoramic aspect to 18:9: in the thick upper frame is housed the 8-megapixel selfie camera (Sony IMX219, Beauty Mode, face detection, wide-angle selfie, HDR, Portrait Mode). On the side, there is the fingerprint scanner, at thumb’s reach, to authenticate access and transactions, made contactless, thanks to the NFC module.

At the rear, a striking hexagon places two accessory sensors to support a 16-megapixel main one, whose fortunes are to be attributed to the adoption of a Samsung S5K3P9SX model (phased focus, panorama, HDR, 1080p@30fps video).

In the Blackview BV6600 rugged phone, the mid-low range is well manned thanks to the use of an octacore processor (1.8 GHz) made at 12 nanometers, the MT6762D of Mediatek, or a Helio A25 chip with PowerVR GE8320 GPU from IMG: memories, however, provide an amount of 4 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 64 GB of storage, expandable via microSD.

Complete in terms of connectivity, with Dual SIM 4G, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS (A-GPS, BeiDou, Glonass, Galileo), 3.5 mm jack, and microUSB Type-C, the Blackview BV6600 boasts a monstrous 8,580 mAh battery, rapidly chargeable at 18W, with reverse charging, capable of ensuring a stand-by of 792 hours more realistically translated into 14 hours of HD video playing, 13 hours of gaming, 36 hours of music playback, or 50 hours of phone calls.
