BYINTEK P20
Description
New among the portable mini projectors with a built-in 5200 mAh battery. The device runs on the Android OS, has good hardware and a decent amount of brightness, which is enough for all daily tasks. The quality of materials and assembly also did not disappoint. A number of distinctive features and reasonable cost make Byintek P20 a very worthy successor to the popular model Byintek P10.
It’s nice to see that the appearance of Byintek’s compact devices has been transformed for the better. The Byintek P20’s stylish yet practical design is a testament to that. The projector barely reaches the size of a Coca-Cola can, which allows you to carry it comfortably and easily in any bag or backpack. The honeycomb perforation with the red Byintek logo on the front side makes it look as if you have an ordinary wireless speaker in front of you. However, a little higher up you can notice the strip under the built-in optics and the IR port, protected by a special glass. On the back side there are all the main connection ports and cooling vent. The power switch is also located here. The controls and navigation arrows are located on the top edge, which is also quite convenient for use in the field.
The standard package includes: the projector itself, remote control, HDMI cable, charger and a manual. By the way, the remote control is really good and made of good quality plastic, with Air Mouse support (it is better to clarify its availability when the seller sends it).
At 280 ANSI Lumens and a projection ratio of 1.4:1, it can project an image of about 70-75 inches in size with only two meters to the projection area. The projector can be mounted on a tripod, the screw thread for which is located on the bottom of the case. The projector can be used in indirect sunlight, but as with other models of this type, the darker the room you provide, the richer the picture you can get in the output. Despite the low contrast and relatively low native resolution, the projector gives quite a crisp detailed picture. The first time you start up the projector, it comes with Android 9.0 pre-installed. After going through the standard settings from Google, you can start using the device for its intended purpose. If necessary, you can read about additional settings and popular applications for Android TV here.
The device is quite deservedly positioned as a portable device. The power of the processor, with only two gigabytes of RAM, is obviously not enough to work with heavy applications or content over 4K 30 fps. But for watching YouTube or TV series in a trip or in the country is more than the optimal solution. Besides Byintek P20 gets along splendidly with its peripherals thanks to the support of modern wireless standards, as well as technology for streaming images (Airplay/Miracast). The manufacturer promises up to 30.000 hours of service life without changing accessories (with careful and moderate use, up to 5 hours of active work a day). In contrast to many similar competitors important detail was the quality built-in speaker system, which translates Byintek P20 in the category of devices 2in1. When you buy it you get a multimedia projector and a wireless speaker. To sum it up, we can say that the device was released on the market quite recently, so there is not much user information yet. But the projector looks interesting and promising, which in time could bring it to the level of such well-known national favorites as Byintek P10 or P7. Well, let’s wait and see.
