Chuwi Gemibook Pro

The Chuwi GemiBook Pro is a new 14″ with a fairly classic look, thin borders, lightweight aluminium chassis and the most standard layout with a QWERTY keyboard occupying most of the low chassis and huge touchpad. The small nuance offered by this new ultraportable is linked to the qualities of this display. The screen offers a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels, a 3:2 display perfect for office use. The panel offers a 95% sRGB and 70% NTSC colorimetry for a correct colorimetry of the device.

What is less standard in this machine is its on-board equipment. Intel Core chip point here but a Celeron J4125 processor. A quad core and as many Threads, clocked from 1.8 to 2.7 GHz and supported by 4 MB of cache memory. This Gemini Lake Refresh chip, slightly more powerful than a classic N4100 offers an Intel UHD 600 graphics circuit with excellent multimedia performance. In this GemiBook Pro, it is associated with 16 GB of RAM, 4 more than Intel’s official limitations concerning this chip. Don’t worry, this Celeron “limitation” only exists on paper, it serves to put up a “diplomatic” barrier between these chips and Core solutions.

Storage is provided by a 512GB SATA M.2 2280 SSD in M.2 format and a second free slot, in M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe format is also available for upgrading. A 1.0MP webcam is present on the top frame and the machine offers a Wifi6 AX200 module associated with a rare Bluetooth 5.1. The keypad is backlit and the hinge can be opened 180° to position the vehicle flat.

Another good point, the connections are good. It offers a USB 3.0 port, a 3.5 mm headset and microphone combination audio jack, a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort video and data transport and also Power Delivery 2.0 compatibility. It will allow the 38 Wh battery to be quickly recharged, which promises an autonomy of up to 7 hours. This type of connector is still too rare on the sector, many manufacturers still prefer a good old-fashioned power supply unit with a jack port for the entry-level range. The Gemibook Pro is 31 cm wide, 22.9 cm deep and 2.0 cm thick.
