Ecovacs is a Chinese company with experience in the field of robot vacuum cleaners, I could even say that they are pioneers in this field, having the first model launched in 2007. At that time, robot vacuum cleaners were not as popular as they are today, and since this cause their success was not resounding. Currently, in their portfolio we find both affordable models, without mop or high-performance navigation system, but also models with premium specifications and performance, an example being the Ecovacs Deebot N3 Max, ie the one I decided to write about today.

Ecovacs Deebot N3 Max stands out for the generous capacity of the dust and water containers. It has a dust container with a capacity of 600 ml and a water container with a capacity of 300 ml. With such a large container, emptying can be done much less often, but of course it differs depending on the surface that the vacuum cleaner has to clean. If you are like me and postpone emptying the dust container as much as possible, this model promises to keep us away from this for as long as possible.

With a maximum power of 2000 Pa, Deebot N3 Max does not impress in terms of suction power, but if you do not have pets I think it will be enough to vacuum the house. The mapping system uses a high-performance laser sensor (LDS), which scans the home and allows the setting of forbidden areas, virtual walls or rooms where the device is not allowed to use the mop. For these functions it is necessary to install the Ecovacs Home application. It is compatible with virtual assistants such as Google Home or Amazon Alexa.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not mention whether the mop function allows you to set the amount of water it releases. The battery has a capacity of 3200 mAh, ensuring up to 90 minutes of operation. It knows how to return to the charging base when the battery reaches somewhere around 20% of its capacity, and when it finishes charging, it returns to where it left off. It can pass over obstacles with a maximum height of 2 centimeters.
