The Himo H1 is one of the smallest e-bikes in the world and can rather be seen as a mixture of eBike and e-scooter. As the sub-brand of Xiaomi announces, shipping to Europe is now also possible. The price of $759.99 is tempting, even if shipping costs are added.

Whether this vehicle from the Xiaomi brand Himo is a foldable e-bike or a foldable e-scooter remains to be seen. Since it has no pedals and accelerates at the push of a button, you would have to register it as an e-scooter in Europe.

The necessary braking system and lighting are installed. The maximum speed of 18 km/h also does not speak against a registration as an e-scooter in Europe. Whether one of the enclosed “certificates” is a general operating permit (ABE), however, is not clear from the description text.

The Himo H1 is especially suitable for commuters because it can be folded very compactly. When folded, it should hardly be bigger than an A3 sheet. Therefore, convenient transport via backpack is also possible. The weight is 14.5 kilograms; the payload is 100 kilograms. The range of the easily removable battery is around 30 kilometers. This should be absolutely sufficient for the intended use and trips on the so-called “last mile”.
