KUU K2S

Nothing extravagant in this KUU K2S, we find a classic but robust entry-level configuration. A Celeron J4115, an entry-level chip from Intel, of Gemini Lake generation with four cores and as many threads that runs from 1.8 to 2.5 GHz with 4 MB of cache. A little more nervous than the Celeron N4100 which is lower in frequency but also a little more power-hungry with 10 watts of TDP against 6. Both chips offer the same Intel UHD 600 circuitry.

Around this processor, the KUU K2S offers classic but solid components. 8 GB of DDR4 RAM that the brand doesn’t detail when it comes to a possible upgrade and 256 GB of storage on a SSD M.2 not detailed but I guess it’s a SATA 3.0. An efficient set and perfectly adapted to office, surfing or multimedia uses. The modern game will not be accessible but this type of system can be quite suitable for launching old games or very popular titles. The idea with this kind of machine is not to provide you with a gaming PC but to entertain you from time to time while assuming word processing, spreadsheet and surfing uses as well as multimedia sessions.

The Intel UHD 600 chip will support FullHD video on the 14.1″ IPS 1920 x 1080 pixel display, and a pair of stereo speakers will handle the audio. Connections include a stereo audio jack port combining microphone input and headphone output, a MicroSD card reader, a single USB 3.0 Type-A port and a USB Type-C port that will not be able to manage the load of the machine. A jack port will be used for this purpose, and a MiniHDMI output will allow the video signal to be transferred to an external display if necessary.

To connect to the networks, the KUU K2S offers a Wifi-5 module and Bluetooth 5.0 and the machine includes some small not uninteresting frills. It starts with a classic integrated webcam, above the keyboard, which offers a less usual privacy eyecup. A fingerprint reader is present in the start button to easily authenticate under the Windows 10 Pro delivered.

The keyboard is backlit and benefits from a comfortable edge-to-edge development. It is unfortunately in QWERTY with the addition of a set of stickers to switch it to AZERTY. The touchpad is of a good size and offers a function that allows you to find a numeric keypad if needed. The battery is a 38 Wh promising according to the brand 4 to 6 hours of use. The set measures 32.32 cm wide and 21.93 cm deep with a thickness of 16.5 mm and a weight of 1.33 KG.
