LAOTIE L8S Pro

The LAOTIE L8S Pro is a new and powerful 2400W electric scooter that is experiencing some interest, it is equipped with a dual 800W motor on both wheels and can reach a speed up to 50 km/h, facing significant slopes up to 40°. The 18650 lithium-ion battery is 52V 28.8Ah with autonomy up to 100km depending on whether or not the dual motor, the weight of the driver and the type of terrain, the recharge time is about 9 hours.

The speed and total power of the motor are above the limits allowed by the recent law on electric micro-mobility, but it must be said that it has the possibility of blocking both the speed limit at 20 km/h and the blocking of the motor power via display.

It is possible to use a single motor by acting on the red button on the handlebars (excluding the front motor), in this way you have a lower power output and acceleration is more gradual, but you still reach the maximum speed even if in more time. The two engines are already depowered and the start is more gradual, which can be modified from the display.

The frame is made of aluminum 6061 and the platform is quite raised and wide compared to the classic scooters, the dimensions are 126x30x121 cm in normal position and 109x53x22cm in folding position. The central red lever is used to fold it and with the two side bolts you can adjust the handlebar clearance to make it harder.

Another novelty is that the handlebar, in addition to the possibility to raise and lower it, has a particular folding system, you pull the two parts to the side and then turn them downwards, thus occupying less space during transport.

The LAOTIE L8S Pro is equipped with 4 suspensions at the front and 1 unique central suspension at the rear that make the scooter comfortable to absorb the unevenness of the ground and also become a useful spring system for jumping obstacles, as pressing with the weight on the platform produces a kind of trampoline that allows you to jump more easily. The total weight of the scooter is 27 kg and it supports a maximum weight of up to 150 kg.

On the handlebar on the right is the small brake-type throttle lever very comfortable, while on the left is the only brake lever that controls the braking system that acts in 3 steps (a novelty on electric scooters): when you start to pull the brake lever first comes into operation the electronic engine brake, pulling even more the lever comes into operation the disc brakes, first the rear and immediately after the front, this is a system that makes more effective braking not only on flat roads but also in off-road and wet conditions.

The color LCD display includes the Power ON/OFF button (hold down for 3 seconds to turn off) and the M (MODE) button, with which you can change the speed setting to 20/25 km/h in step 1, about 35 km/h in step 2 and the maximum speed of 60 km/h in step 3. Once turned on, with the Power button and M you can flip back and forth between the menus to check the km traveled in each single trip, the total km, the time elapsed after the ignition and the battery voltage in numbers. The display also shows the speed, the programmable speed step and the battery status indicated with the bars. After 5 minutes of not using the scooter it will automatically turn off. The display is also equipped with a USB port for charging various compatible devices.

Tubeless tires have a size of 10″, are inflatable and knobbly so as to have a greater grip even on dirt roads. On the rear, the fender has a very comfortable section and allows you to use it as a foot rest, for greater balance especially at the start when using the dual motor that produces a very strong acceleration.

The scooter is equipped with horn, front light and rear light (all required by law, the headlights in case of use with poor visibility) and stand, also the LAOTIE L8S Pro is IP54 waterproof against splashes and light rain.
