NEXTDRIVE N-7

NextDrive N-7 is one of the most underrated electric scooters I’ve tested so far, being from my point of view the best option you can find in this price segment. Why I say this, you will find out if you read this article to the end. The scooter comes with a folding seat, and even though I don’t like the way it looks, I admit it’s very comfortable. It is caught in a few screws, so it can be removed quite easily. When you take it out of the box, all you have to do is hold the handles, 95% of which is already assembled.

On the side of joints and construction I did not find anything wrong, it is robust and looks quite durable. It weighs 19 kilograms, but most likely it weighs with the seat mounted. I didn’t weigh it, but when I picked it up it didn’t seem that heavy. The handles are wrapped in a pleasant sponge to the touch, but which over time may break. The wheels are covered on one side by a plastic cover fastened in 4 screws, which must be lowered every time you want to apply pressure, which is not very convenient.

There is not much to say about the features, NextDrive N-7 not being an electric scooter with a dedicated application or with too many functions. As mentioned above, it comes without headlight and horn, and the taillight on the back is not the brightest. However, its features are enough to make its use extremely pleasant.

On the handlebars we have a pretty interesting display, which shows the estimated battery capacity, current speed and usage (1 or 2). The scooter has 2 modes of use: mode 1 which allows it to reach a maximum speed of up to 25 Km/h and mode 2 which increases the maximum speed up to 32 Km/h.

The engine is located in the rear wheel, is very quiet (you can hardly hear it when it works) and has a power of 300W. Leaving the place is very smooth, being suitable for people who have never used an electric scooter. At the same time, it is strong enough, managing to reach maximum speed fairly quickly. The rod leading to the handlebars is slightly inclined at the top, so the position in use is very good. The footrest is large enough and if you want to feel like in a Rolls Royce electric scooter, leave the seat mounted.

The scooter is available in 2 versions: with 7.8Ah and 10.4Ah battery. I have the 10.4Ah battery version. Regarding the autonomy, used only in mode 2 (with a maximum speed of 32 KM/h), I managed to obtain a range of up to 25 kilometers. I weigh 80 kilograms and the scooter was used without a seat most of the time, only on flat roads, without slopes. I probably could have obtained a better autonomy if I had used it in mode 1 (with a maximum speed of up to 25 Km/h). A full charge takes about 5 hours.

If the autonomy is enough for your needs, then I can say without hesitation that in this price segment, NextDrive N-7 is the best electric scooter you can buy. It excels in terms of comfort (with or without a seat), the posture is very good and the braking system is one of the best I’ve encountered on an electric scooter. The folding system is one of the safest you can have and the footrest will be enough for everyone.
