QiCYCLE TDP02Z
Description
Xiaomi’s company structure is quite complex because its offer includes thousands of products, some sold under its own brand and others under different brands, which are outsourced (Xiaomi’s employees or not) or partner companies. In short, without knowing it, you could be buying a device developed and produced in the Chinese company’s labs, despite not having any direct reference. And a clear example is given by Qicycle, a brand used by Xiaomi for sports equipment, but also for ebikes to which the latest Qicycle TDP02Z belongs.
Equipped with 20-inch wheels, which provide stability on both paved roads and rough terrain, Qicycle TDP02Z looks like a normal bicycle but actually hides a 5.2Ah lithium-ion battery in the cross tube, which will ensure a total range of 40Km and will recharge in about 3.5h, through the connector behind the rear brake light. It supports three pedaling modes: eco (25% electric and 75% muscle), balanced (50% electric and 50% muscle) and boost (75% electric and 25% muscle), with a maximum speed of 25Km/h.
Thanks to the display located in the center of the handlebars, the user can check the speed, range, lights, alerts and recharge percentage when the bike is connected to the power supply. The screen is photosensitive, so it will be able to automatically detect the ambient light and thus adjust its brightness, reducing it for example at night so as not to disturb those sitting on the saddle. On the left side of the handlebars, instead, we find a controller that includes the on/off button, the horn and the gear shift for the gears.
Qicycle TDP02Z is made of 6061 aeronautical aluminum alloy so it can support loads up to 100Kg and is equipped with a 180W motor, caliper brakes on the handlebars, an LED light (headlight) on the front and a red light on the back that turns on automatically when braking.
