Metal Body, Thin and Solid – Integrated Glass Panel 2.5D Edge – Full Size Keyboard and Large Trackpad

Teclast is one of the most renowned manufacturers of tablets, laptops and peripherals in China. The company recently launched its Teclast F15S laptop. It features a 15.6-inch FHD display and is powered by the Intel N4100 Quad Core Intel Gemini Lake processor, making it an ideal notebook for everyone.

The first thing we noticed about this laptop is the quality of manufacturing and display. We have to admit that the manufacturing quality of the Teclast F15S is first-rate. The aluminum body gives the device an unmatched robustness and a quality look when you hold it. The lid is perfectly secured with a sturdy hinge. The Teclast F15S features a 15.6-inch FHD screen with IPS panel. Colors and detail are far better than HP and Lenovo laptops in this price range. If you compare this with other Acer, Dell laptops, you’ll pay close to $800 for this type of display. The display is great for desktop and movies but not for gaming because of the low refresh rate. Overall, the F15S’s build and display quality is good.

The keyboard and touchpad of this notebook are also good. You get a backlit keyboard with adjustable brightness, so you can adjust the brightness to suit your needs. The number pad is also available here for a better typing experience. The keyboard is not the best but not the worst. It makes noise when you’re typing something that’s a little annoying sometimes. Now let’s talk about the touchpad, no physical buttons are available on the touchpad. You have to press the right and left sides of the touchpad a little harder to use the buttons. But sometimes you have to press it a little too hard because it doesn’t respond very well. The touchpad is medium and the buttons are less sensitive.

In the previous version, laptops were powered by the Intel Celeron processor. The processor was good but the rendering speed was low. The Teclast F15S is powered by the 8th generation Intel Gemini Lake processor, 30% more efficient and optimized. The 4 MB capture memory allows fast processing. Teclast F15S running on Windows 10 updated with an authentic version.

The processor works well under E-mail, playing songs, surfing the Internet and watching videos. And one more thing to mention, the intel graphics card is integrated. So you can play videos in 4K quality with 60fps. This type of processor does not allow you to play greedy games like COD or Crysis.

It has 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of SSD. The SSD also provides fast read and write speed. The 8 GB RAM allows fast multitasking and easy switching between applications. The F15S also features an SD card slot and two USB 3.0 ports, allowing you to spend more space.

The Teclast F15S comes with a genuine pre-installation of Windows 10. You will not receive any unwanted pre-installation application that uses RAM and storage space. You will get all updates and security patches on time. This will help you to keep your notebook efficient. To connect with the word Internet, it has Wi-Fi support from 2.4 Ghz to 5.0 Ghz. And Bluetooth 4.0 to connect the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

It is featured with the 38000mAh battery and takes almost 7 hours to fully charge. If you normally use it like watching movies or surfing on the Internet, its operating time can reach almost 6-7 hours. The processor optimizes the power and processing of the battery and offers the best performance to the user.

Just a correction to the review. The F15S has an Apollo Lake processor, not a Gemini Lake as indicated, nor does it have a backlit keyboard as indicated.
