Teclast F7 Air
1. Intel Celeron N4120 Quad Core
2. Display: 14.0 inch FHD IPS Screen
3. 8GB DDR4 RAM for Advanced Multitasking
4. 256GB SSD Storage Capacity
Description
The notebook offers a 14″ display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and relies on an IPS panel, which makes it particularly viewing angle stable. Teclast particularly emphasizes the thin side edges of just 8mm on the left and right of the display. The Teclast F7 Air is powered by the well-known Intel Celeron N4120 quad-core processor that can clock with up to 2.4 GHz. The notebook is supported by a generous 8GB of RAM and a real 256GB SSD hard drive and not the usual, slower eMMC memory. The storage can be expanded via the microSD slot or the SSD can be replaced directly via the M.2 slot at the bottom. The picture does not quite show whether it is the shorter M.2 2242 (4.2 cm) or regular M.2 2280 (8 cm) SSDs.
Thanks to the metal case, the Teclast F7 Air cuts a solid figure. Due to the compact dimensions, the notebook only weighs 1.18 kg. The Teclast logo on the back is illuminated as a small eye-catcher. The keyboard unfortunately has the usual QWERTY (US) layout and therefore deviates from the German QWERTZ layout. You can remedy this with keyboard stickers if necessary. Nevertheless, you get a backlit keyboard and a large touchpad with 12.5 x 7.8 cm. The installed 38 Wh battery promises a runtime of up to 8 hours under the preinstalled Windows 10 operating system.
The other features are solid: 2MP front-facing camera, dual-band Wi-Fi (incl. AC), Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5 mm headphone jack, HDMI, MicroSD slot, 2x USB 3.0 and 4 speakers.
The screen of Teclast’s F7 Air has a Full HD resolution, which allows you to enjoy a great multimedia experience when using the computer to watch photos, TV series or movies. The keyboard has the US international layout, so there might be some problems at first when you have to go and type a document or email. The distance between the keys is minimal, as well as their height: two features that fortunately help you to get familiar with the keyboard right away, which is ideal for those who work on the computer to produce texts for both online newspapers and literary texts. Also worth mentioning is the generous size of the touchpad.
The computer has a claimed autonomy of 6 hours, thanks to the 4,250 mAh lithium-ion battery. Positive note also for the fast charging: with the recharger in the package you get to full charge in 3 hours. It is no coincidence that the autonomy can cover the entire working day of a person who works in smart working, a factor to be taken into account when purchasing.
This Notebook is quite hybrid, as it has the characteristics of a Laptop, but in some aspects, it is a little bit fishing. The price is correct since you can get it for about 399 dollars from January 10 to 31, 2021 on Aliexpress.
