Ulefone Armor 10

Ulefone, Blackview and Oukitel have all announced in recent weeks the very first outdoor smartphone with 5G support. Separately, of course. Ulefone has the Armor 8 5G in the pipeline, with Blackview it is the BL6000 Pro and with Oukitel the WP10 5G. All of these smartphones have one thing in common besides the new mobile phone standard – they are not available. When the first model will actually be sold and shipped is currently in the stars.

A few days ago, the next contender for the title “First outdoor smartphone with 5G” was presented: the Ulefone Armor 10 5G. Wait a minute, the Ulefone Armor 8 5G is not even available yet and the successor is just around the corner? That’s the way it is! It’s almost a bit shameless to advertise two of your own models as the first 5G outdoor smartphone. Anyway, we took a close look and in this news item we’ll explain how the two very first 5G smartphones differ from Ulefone.

Not all specifications of the new Ulefone Armor 10 5G are known yet. However, it is certain that the outdoor smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800. That applies by the way likewise to the Armor 8 5G. Also the RAM is probably the same as the eight gigabytes of its predecessor. With 128 Gigabyte the internal memory is halved and there are also differences with the camera.

A quad setup is used on the back of the Ulefone Armor 10 5G: 64MP (main camera) + 8MP (ultra wide angle) + 5MP (macro) + 2MP (depth sensor). The selfie camera of the Armor 10 5G comes to 16MP. The exact setup of the predecessor is not known, but only three sensors (plus front camera) are used there.

The “Full HD+” display of the Ulefone Armor 10 5G is 6.67 inches – it outstrips the 6.1 inch screen of its predecessor by far. The front camera finds its place in a punch hole. Further the speech is of a 5,800 mAh large Akku, Wireless Charging, NFC and stick Android 10.

So far, Ulefone is keeping its head down with prices for Armor 8 5G and Armor 10 5G. The former has a placeholder price in the official online store – 1,000 dollars we consider somewhat unrealistic. Since the Armor 8 4G is currently offered for $200, we think $300 to $350 is appropriate for the 5G model. The Armor 10 5G will probably be a bit more expensive – after all it is the successor.
