Viomi Alpha UV has a charging dock cum a large trash can that can collect garbage from the robot’s suction box after every move.
Viomi’s product is funded on the Youpin system and is the most expensive robot vacuum cleaner of this brand. Compared with the iRobot Roomba i7 Plus, the product has a significantly shorter system that conducts dust from the machine to the compartment (381 mm compared to 750 mm), helping to reduce dust that has accumulated in the tube for a long time. The suction power of the dock is 950W, ensuring that the dust inside the robot can be transferred to the dock.
The capacity of the dust compartment on the charging dock is 3 liters, 10 times more than the dust, garbage box built into the robot. The machine also comes with a water canister for mopping with a capacity of 250 ml.
Alpha UV has a suction capacity of 2,700 mAh, the largest in its price range. In addition, the device also integrates a 5,200 mAh capacity battery, equivalent to other Xiaomi models in the price range of $749.99.
Another feature of the new robot is a 360-degree scanning LDS laser sensor that helps locate and draw house plans. The machine can climb 2 cm high steps, undercarriage with a minimum height of 9.8 cm, the new Y-Mopping running mechanism. The filter uses HEPA class, but the company does not specify which standards.
Viomi Alpha UV can be controlled via the Mi Home app and will start selling from the beginning of next month.
