On the occasion of the launch of Xiaomi Mi 11, which took place in the early afternoon of yesterday, December 28, the Chinese giant also announced a new router, designed to take full advantage of the potential of the new smartphone.

Xiaomi Mi AIoT Router AX6000, this is the full name of the new device from Xiaomi, is capable of reaching the transmission speed of 6,000 Mbps with a bandwidth of 4×4 160 MHz. It is also the first router in the world to offer support for 4K QAM technology, with a transmission density that allows you to increase the speed of the network by 20%.

The technical equipment of the AX6000 router is really impressive, starting with dual band WiFi support with 802.11 ax protocol support. Inside the device is a Qualcomm IPQ5018 processor with 1 GHz NPU, flanked by 512 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM.

There are also six external omnidirectional antennas and an AIoT antenna that allows automatic connection to all Xiaomi smart devices through the companion app. This allows you to connect up to 248 devices, a number that can handle even the most automated homes.

Management of the entire router, which features 7 indicator LEDs, is done through the Mi Wi-Fi app, available for Android and iOS, which allows you to limit the speed for certain connections, set operating times and monitor traffic in real time.

The router also features a 2,500 Mbps RJ45 port for maximum speed as well. Pre-orders for the Xiaomi Mi AIoT Router AX6000 are already active in China. Sales will start from January 8 with the selling price set at 599 yuan, about 76 euros at current exchange rates.
