XQIAO OVICX Q2S Plus

Last year, WalkingPad started the trend of foldable treadmills, and due to the pandemic, products like these have taken off and quickly become very popular among Chinese stores. While so far we’ve only featured compact models, today we found a model on offer at Geekbuying that I would say falls into the category of professional treadmills, but can be used in the comfort of your own home.

It’s the XQIAO OVICX Q2S Plus, a fairly bulky, great looking treadmill with smart features. I have to admit that I didn’t know much about this brand, but I did a bit of research and discovered that it’s a pretty big and well-known manufacturer in the US market.

The company was founded in 2015 and since then has been growing continuously, with many of its products successfully launched on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. In its portfolio we only find items in the fitness category. In China it is known as Xqiao, which is why in the store description the Ovics Q2S Plus treadmill appears with the name Xqiao on the front.

Coming back to the treadmill, the Q2S+ is a premium model, both in looks and features. Personally, I can say that it brings a lot to the table with the machines we find in gyms. It seems to be massive and robust enough to withstand a weight of more than 120 kilograms – this is the maximum value that appears in the technical specifications.

The treadmill itself weighs 43 kilograms, but that’s somewhat expected given that it measures 165cm x 65cm x 114cm (L x W x H) and the running post is 43cm wide and 125cm long. The maximum speed it can reach is 14km/h, so it’s more powerful than WalkingPad models.

It cannot be folded, but it has a stand that allows it to sit upright to take up less space in the home. Still, considering its weight, it doesn’t seem like the kind of product you’d want to pick up too often.

There is a folding bar on the front, which acts as a stand for your mobile phone or tablet, as well as providing extra safety during use. Also here you’ll find the sensor that detects your heartbeat, displaying related information on the screen. Information on distance covered, calories burned or speed is displayed in the mobile app or directly on the integrated LED screen. From the mobile app, you can share your results directly on social media.
