The compact laser processing machine “xTool D1” is now available on Makeblock. It officially supports 22 kinds of materials. It can engrave and cut black acrylic sheets, PVC, MDF, etc. It can also engrave on marble, concrete, aluminum alloy, etc.
It is equipped with a lever to adjust the focus position for easy manual focusing, and an optional rotation device allows 360° rotation engraving. Connect the computer or smartphone to the xTool D1 via USB cable or Wi-Fi. Offline processing is supported, so after sending the design data to the device, processing can be done without connecting to the device.
The processing area is 432 x 406mm, which is slightly larger than A3 size, and the engraving speed is 0-160mm/s. The positioning accuracy is 0.01mm, the processing accuracy is 1000DPI, and the laser spot is 0.08mm. There are two types of laser power, 5W and 10W, and the 10W xTool D1 can cut 6mm thick wood. The product is 600 x 590 x 150 mm, weighs 5 kg, and can be assembled in about 15 minutes due to its simple structure with few parts.
In addition, we found that there is currently a similar machine that is its competitor, that is, the Atomstack X7 Pro, which also has a powerful output power of 10W dual lasers. In my opinion, Atomstack X7 Pro has better scalability than xTool D1.
