WalkingPad C2
Description
Before we discuss the meaning of the treadmill, here are the most important facts. The treadmill weighs 25 kilograms and measures 1445×518×125mm when unfolded, and 825×518×136mm when folded. The WalkingPad C2 then only takes up 0.5 square meters of space. Practical: The WalkingPad can be moved quickly with the two small castors on the head section.
Very important: It is not a classic treadmill. The WalkingPad C2 only offers a maximum speed of 6 km/h. This means that jogging is not possible. So jogging is not possible here, only fast walking. If you do this for a long time, you will break a sweat. If you want to take it easier, you can regulate the device down to 0.5 km/h. Also note: The maximum load capacity is 100 kilograms.
The startup is simple. If you want to start a first run, you do not necessarily have to install the corresponding APP. An additional remote control is included, which you can use to control the treadmill and set the speed. However, you can view additional data in the WalkingPad app after registering.
If the WalkingPad is connected via Bluetooth, you can also start the treadmill here. In addition, you can call up a few statistics, for example, the distance run or the calories burned. You can also enter a goal, for example: After 20 minutes, the unit will end itself. The same works with a certain distance or number of calories. In the app, you can also recalibrate the band or import updates. The app is easy to use.
Of course, the WalkingPad is not comparable to professional treadmills from the gym, however, walking on the belt feels unusual at first. It feels as if the belt slides slightly when running, you have a kind of forward-backward movement – kind of funny. However, you get used to it quite quickly, but for me personally 6 km/h is just too little for a workout. Of course, you can keep fit this way and not everyone wants to do an endurance sprint. You can hear the belt itself, of course, but normal treadmills are much louder. The coating of the belt is non-slip, you can run without shoes or barefoot – no problem.
Personally, the WalkingPad C2 is just not expensive. Currently, you have to shell out just under $500, shipping is via rail and is included. With priority shipping, customs duties are also already included.
I’m sure there is a small target audience who want to unfold the band at home and start a short and painless running workout. However, an extensive walk will also do the trick. If you walk briskly, maybe even use a few sticks, you’ll achieve the same effect – and get some fresh air in the process.
