CHUWI CoreBook Xe

If you are not familiar with the Chuwi company, then you need not worry about anything. This is a manufacturer known primarily for creating affordable laptops. Usually they are equipped with a specification based on rather weak components. It seems that the company has decided to move away from this idea and presented a device that may interest customers. We are talking about Chuwi CoreBook Xe, which is the first laptop from the manufacturer equipped with a dedicated graphics chip from Intel. What else does the new proposal from Chuwi offer?

Looking at the specification, the lack of a processor from the Intel Pentium or Celeron series is immediately striking, for which a huge plus should be given to the manufacturer. The heart of the Chuwi CoreBook Xe is the Intel Core i5-10210U, which will certainly allow for comfortable daily work. As I mentioned earlier, the laptop also received the Iris Xe MAX Graphics chip, which is the first dedicated GPU from Intel. This card is becoming more and more popular among laptop manufacturers, because such companies as Acer and Dell have already decided to use it. In addition, Chuwi CoreBook Xe is equipped with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM. Unfortunately it is not known whether the memory can be expanded. For data, a PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD with a capacity of 256 GB has been allocated. Such a combination will certainly not allow for comfortable play in Cyberpunk 2077 and other recent titles, but the power reserve will certainly allow for fun in older games.

It is also gratifying that the manufacturer has decided to install in the new laptop an IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Unfortunately, it is not known what color coverage it offers, but it should still be higher values than TN panels. Chuwi CoreBook Xe also offers a basic set of communication ports. The user gets at his disposal 1x USB type C, 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0 and HDMI. There is also room for an SD card reader and RJ-45 Ethernet connector, which is increasingly being omitted by manufacturers. Unfortunately, we do not know how much we will have to pay for the new proposal from Chuwi. According to unofficial information, however, it is to be $699. Will Chuwi CoreBook Xe at this price be interesting for potential customers?
