Easythreed® K2 Plus

Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Easythreed has introduced another low-cost 3D printer, the “K2 Plus”, for newcomers, families with children and hobby makers who want to get their first 3D printing experience at home and need an affordable second device. The K2 Plus is 100 x 100 x 100 mm in size. Beginners can get their first experience with 3D printing. Do-it-yourselfers have the opportunity to get creative and support their work with 3D-printed components.

The K2 Plus 3D printer can be assembled in a few simple steps. The supplied parts are screwed together, the cables are connected, and even beginners are ready for the next step, leveling, after a maximum of a quarter of an hour. Since the K2 Plus does not have an automatic leveling function, the user must use the buttons on the side to control this. A video from Easythreed explains exactly how this works. With a steady hand and some skill, it can be done quickly. In the next step, the memory card with the file to be printed is inserted at the side. Printing can then be started via the LCD menu.

If 3D printing stops unexpectedly, it can be resumed without errors from the last point. At 1.3 kilograms, the lightweight device can be easily transported from one place to another. Because the Easythreed® K2 Plus 3D Printer does not have a heated bed, there is less risk of burns from carelessness or for children.
