Even if the weather outside doesn’t make me think of riding a bike or a scooter, it doesn’t mean that I can’t keep up with what’s still appearing in the offers of Chinese stores in terms of alternative means of transport. With a trunk on the back and a mudguard on both wheels, the Engwe EP-2 seems to be the right bike for cochlear rides or shopping. It can be used both in rainy weather and in the snow, thanks to the 20-inch wide wheels. They not only offer extra stability and safety, but can also serve as cushioning, making the bike ideal for mountainous or slightly rugged areas.

The transmission consists of a single-blade gear, plus a Shimano Shimano 7-speed gearbox. The brakes are mechanical, on the disc.

In terms of performance, the Engwe EP-2 integrates a powerful 500W motor in the rear wheel, which helps the bike reach a top speed of up to 38 km/h when used in full electric mode. The range promised by the manufacturer is 40-45 kilometers (used in electric mode), or 70-80 kilometers (when used in power mode). The battery has a capacity of 12.5Ah and a full charge should not last more than 5 hours.

In terms of features we can mention the generous screen on the handlebars (where information is displayed on battery capacity, autonomy or speed in real time), stop plus LED headlight, but also the electric horn.
